IWCSW 49th Installation Tea (2.30-5.00pm)

July 6th saw the inauguration of the 49th President of Inner Wheel Club of Singapore West, at Crossings Café, Waterloo Street in Singapore. 

27 Club members, and their guests, plus 5 guests from other IWC Clubs in District 332, assembled to witness the handover to the new President, Tan Wee Ling, and her new Committee for 2024-2025.

In line with the fashion theme - the 1970’s - a few members wore kinky ‘retro’ clothes, and circulated around the tables, which were creatively decorated with blue candles and hand operated star lighters

Toasts and thanks were offered to the outgoing President, Kim Ng, and her committee, and flowers presented to both Presidents, followed by the installation of one new member of IWCSW, as the 34th member of the club.

After the speeches and formalities finished, all were treated to a sumptuous local buffet, whilst being entertained by a local guitarist, who led his enthusiastic audience to join with him in well-known favourite ‘oldies’!

The songs and celebrations finally came to a close at 5pm, with all agreeing the afternoon had successfully promoted ‘true friendship’ amongst those present, a core objective of all Inner Wheel Clubs.
