Culinary demo and induction of new member

We had our 1st General Meeting today, with almost two-thirds of our members in attendance, making it a warm and well-supported gathering.

After the business session, President SL delighted us with her culinary skills by preparing mee siam, which she generously shared with everyone over lunch at Kim’s residence. It was a lovely opportunity for members to relax, enjoy good food and catch up with one another.

Following lunch, Mary, one of our Charter Members, had the honour of inducting our newest member, Violet, into the club.

Violet is married and has two children. Sadly, she lost her husband about five years ago. She was previously a member of the Chinese Women’s Association (CWA) in Singapore, one of the island’s oldest voluntary women’s organisations, where she was actively involved in the community.

Violet also used to run a Danish eatery, bringing her passion for food and hospitality to her work. Since retiring, she now enjoys a quieter and more fulfilling pace of life, spending precious time with her grandchild and practising qigong.

We are delighted to welcome Violet into our Inner Wheel family and look forward to getting to know her better, sharing friendship and fellowship, and creating many meaningful memories together.

It was indeed a wonderful day of fellowship, good food and new beginnings - a lovely reminder that friendship makes our Inner Wheel family grow and flourish.
