Inner Wheel Club of Singapore

September 2024

This year, our core focus is on education and children, aiming to build long-term relationships and create meaningful engagements with established institutions. Here’s a brief overview of our key projects:

NewGen

As a charity, they provide holistic and empathetic support to reformed offenders, their children and families to prevent intergenerational offending.  We’re hosting a festive gathering for their beneficiaries, including a three-hour interactive session with food, games, and goodies to kick off Deepavali celebrations. We also plan to utilize their new event space for future IWCS activities.

Good Shepherd Service Centre

We have a long term partnership with Shepherd Student Care and have been working with them regularly for 3 years.  This year we plan to engage actively with baking and cooking lessons for the students as well as quarterly birthday party celebrations.

Dignity Kitchen

The real purpose of Dignity Kitchen is to empower those with disabilities and disadvantages by equipping them with the tools to become financially independent.

The clubs quarterly activities include food packing and distribution to the elderly, financial support through hosting general meetings with lunch, financial contributions and a fun bake and serve tea with karaoke to bring joy to lives of the members of Dignity Kitchen.

UMC

We celebrate residents' birthdays with cakes sponsored by our Club members for few years now and are exploring additional opportunities for engagement.

Activity Calendar

We’re creating a new calendar to boost involvement and readiness. A subcommittee system will be introduced, led by EXCO members who will recruit 2-3 additional members. The President will advise each subcommittee.
