80th Installation of Inner Wheel Club of Singapore

The Inner Wheel Club of Singapore celebrated the 80th Installation of President Vijaya Putti and her incoming Committee 2026-2027, at YMCA Metropolitan Orchard on the 17th of July 2026 at 12 pm. 45 members and guests gathered at the venue for the occasion. The club was delighted to host guests District Chairman Lipika Bhattacharya, National Representative Janet Lim, IIWPBD Lucy Ooi, President Shirley Chua of IWCS East, President Chew Siong Ling of IWCS West, President Puja Surtani of IWCS Central . President Divya Panicker presented a video of the Club’s activities and the projects completed during her term. In her outgoing address she expressed her gratitude to the members and the outgoing committee for their continued support which contributed to the success of the projects. Incoming President Vijaya addressed the members and guests outlining the goals she and her committee wished to achieve during her term. She introduced her Incoming Committee for the year 2026-2027. Special thanks to PDC Maria for the beautiful pots of sunshine blossoms specially made by her and which were sold for S$80/- each. The proceeds from the auction of these 6 pots will go towards the Good Shepherd School Veggie plot project! International Friendship Day International Friendship Day was celebrated at Marché, 313 Somerset on 31st July, with the President extending Friendship Day greetings to everyone, followed by members sharing what friendship and Inner Wheel meant to them. Fun games added plenty of laughter, from a straw-and-paper challenge testing everyone’s lung power to a creative pom-pom wrist decoration activity, with tokens of friendship presented by President Vijaya and PP Anjli to all members present. Members then enjoyed a delicious lunch, captured happy memories in photographs. A lovely afternoon of friendship, laughter and fellowship with everyone heading home smiling.

Good Shepherd Student Care Project

Bringing Monthly SMILES to GSSC, Singapore. Our club is proud to share a delightful ongoing service project.

For the 2nd time, our dedicated member, Anjli Chopra has committed to a 12-month initiative. After a short break, she has pledged to bake a themed birthday cake every month for girls at GSSC, celebrating their birthdays that month. Each cake is specially designed to match a monthly theme, bringing excitement, joy, and a sense of celebration to the girls. It’s to be shared with about 200 girls every month. For the month of July, Anjli’s themed cake is Garden delight and was delivered on 29th July 2026, receiving much appreciation from the girls and staff.

United Medicare Centre

Our members are happy to continue with the sponsoring of the monthly birthday cake for the senior residents of the United Medicare Centre and a roster has been drawn up for the same. The Centre is open to allowing members to join in the birthday celebrations if they desire to do so and this takes place on the last Friday of every month. The first cake was delivered on 31st July 2026 as scheduled.
