The New Inner Wheel Year with Theme Heartbeat of Humanity was launched in Inner Wheel Club of Singapore with a smooth transition of leadership consolidated by a simple Installation Ceremony.

The event took place on July 24, 2024 at Mogul Mahal. We had 32 ladies present and proud to have as guests, a majority of the District 332 Officers along with the President’s of the 3 other clubs comprising District 332. A full house of support and enthusiastic participation.

The achievements of President Anjli Chopra was presented and the formalities of passing the torch to President Divya Panicker was conducted efficiently.

A short intro on the New President

Dr Divya Panicker is a trained Emergency Physician with a specialization in Underwater and Hyperbaric Medicine.

She moved to Singapore 4 years ago with her husband and daughter (now aged 6) and is currently involved in corporate medicine which involves training and research within APAC countries.

She is a second-generation member of Inner Wheel. Started as a member of Inner Wheel Club of Petaling Jaya in 2016 and held position of Secretary, Vice President before resigning in 2020.

Inducted into Inner Wheel Club of Singapore in 2021 and has served as committee member and secretary prior to taking on the responsibility of President. Divya is passionate about education and children and hopes to pass on the values of inner wheel to her daughter.

The Installation event was made most memorable by the conferring of the Honoured Active Award to PP Preeti Bhatnagar who has served actively and diligently over many years and in various roles of leadership.

The literal icing on the cake was a celebration of PP Smita Gadgil’s 70th Birthday. A testament to the commitment of members to attend even on significant personal dates. Inner Wheel Club of Singapore looks forward to a year of Fellowship through Service and continued impact within our community.
