19th December 2024 – Holiday Cheer and Heartfelt Celebrations at UMC, Singapore 🎄🎉

This December, Team IWCS came together to celebrate not only the elders monthly birthday milestones but also the festive joy of Christmas. The day was filled with warmth, happiness, and beautiful moments.

The programme was tailored to the needs of the residents. Most were able to participate in a baking activity to make Chocolate Chip Cookies which they enjoyed at the end of the morning. Four members of IWCS were present to facilitate the baking activity while those who weren't participating in the baking activities were given a creative Colouring Activity.

A Christmas singalong was the highlight of the celebration. Our member sang Silent Night a capella and brought a few to tears as they reminisced Christmases past. It was truly a magical experience, and many cherished memories were created.

While the cookies were baking and exuding a wonderful fragrance, residents enjoyed a fun-filled Christmas Pictures Bingo game, this was truly imaginative on the part of the carers who showed passion and kindness which was most admirable. The hand eye coordination required combined with fun was very beneficial.
